Any of them, really. Technically speaking / is not among the reserved regex characters that need to be escaped by preceding them with a \ in the PCRE regex flavor - see the 4th paragraph here. That being said, some of us (me included) find it easier to (remember to) just escape all brackets and slashes, also influenced by the fact that some of them need escaping in other regex flavors (which Rainmeter doesn't use, of course). Basically, it's more of a personal preference and a safety precaution than a mandatory things to do. Escaping doesn't have major drawbacks, you can even escape characters that don't need it, and regex will be fine with it.So I wonder which is the best way?
