Details, details... what error message you get, which search being active, what's the measure / meter for the "search", which measure you disable to stop the errors, what you have to do in the skin to replicate the error, etc. Anyway, even though I have DosBox and could (re)install VLC to test, not sure what SWTor is and if I want to install it, if by any chance it plays a part in this.

Other than that, generally speaking, although not directly related to whatever substitute errors you get, as far as I can tell, the GetActiveTitle plugin gets the ACTIVE window's title, meaning that if that "search" (have no idea what that is) is done from an InputText or another window or application, the plugin will NOT return the title of VLC, but of the title of the currently active / focused application / control / whatever where you do that "search". That could, in theory, explain those "errors". IF that's the case (it's just a wild guess since I don't know what to do to replicate what you get), then this could be an alternative:

It's supposed to get the window title of VLC (or any application window per the Regex variable) in the Output variable, every Interval milliseconds, regardless if the said application is active / focused or not. The AppTitle.exe compiled script only needs to be run once at skin load.
