Help: Rainmeter Skins • Re: Meter to left/above skin

No, you can't extend outside the edge of a skin in the left or top directions. Nor can a skin "grow" to the left or up. I think the best approach is to set the SkinWidth / SkinHeight so the overall skin is large enough to contain everything, then use X and Y to move stuff down and to the right. Then the image can expand left and up as needed, changing the starting X and Y of the image while it is expanding, while staying inside in the overall skin size.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I was pretty sure that that was the case. In the previous incarnation, my weather skin was horizontal, with the satellite thumbnail in the top right corner, so expanding left (within the skin) and down below the skin was no problem. But with the current incarnation being vertical, I would have loved to have the satellite image expand to the left. Oh, well. :(

Given that at this point the skin is more or less complete, would there be some incredibly easy way to increase the skin size and sort of automatically offset everything that is there, to the right. Here again, the likely answer is "No." :-(

Actually, it isn't really all that important, as I typically don't look at the image that much anyway, so I can just leave it as a thumbnail.
