Do you mean the names of measures and meters? These numbers does not have a lot of meanings. I am used to zero-based indexes because indexes of arrays start with zero in many programming languages.
And my skin contains a Sunday-start calendar in addition to the Monday-start version. The codes of both are the same. For the Sunday-start version, a zero-based index is more natural because weekday numbers start with zero.
