Think of Rainmeter as a road network in very good shape, and of skins like cars driving on that. If a car fails and leaves you in the middle of nowhere, the culprit for that is the car, not the infrastructure. Like SilverAzide mentioned, in 99% of the cases, the problem is the skin. The rest is obviously a potential Rainmeter bug, but those are very few if any, since plenty of people use it with other skins and have little to no issues whatsoever.
Oh, and for the record, you're not the only one who had problems with JaxCore / ValliStart. I mean, don't get me wrong, they're very nice and comprehensive, but since they're more complex than other skins, the potential for problems increases proportionally.
